Art Central Gallery in Barry, South Wales is presenting its 18th Holocaust Memorial Day Exhibition from 18th January to 22nd February 2025.

Monday 27th of January 2025, will be Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD) where many remember a scarred world sadly drenched in racism, hate speech, prejudice and persecution. This year will be the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau ; as usual the Holocaust will be at the centre of the national and local commemorations.

I will be contributing aspects of the Field of Souls exhibition, which took place at Y Gaer in Brecon during the summer of 2024, along with other works including the Shrine installation; several prints and unframed drawings and a cabinet display of the White Voices book and Wandering Soul books.

At Art Central Gallery the HMD exhibition will present a series of creations that considers trauma and loss, with the emphasis of moving on from atrocities – the 30th anniversary of the genocide in Bosnia will also be marked. The gallery located at the rear of Barry library offers a space for contemplation and reflection. The trauma and conflict artist Nicola Tucker will also be present.
